Which personal information do we collect and why?

Comments

When visitors write comments on the site, we collect the information provided in the comment form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent register to help detect spam.

An anonymized string generated from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar Services privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible in the text of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you must not upload images with geo-location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract any location information from images on the website.

Cookies

If you post a comment on our site, you may decide to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so that you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain your personal information and is deleted when your browser is closed.

When you log in, we will also set cookies to save your login information and screen preferences. Login cookies are for the last two days and screen options cookies are for the last one year. If you choose “Remember Me”, your login will last for two weeks. Login cookies will be deleted if you log out of your account.
